Allied Health Professionals can be described as professions that provide a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and support services in connection with health care which are distinct from other fields of health. Profession in Allied Health Services is a key component of health care delivery system. It works with care, competence, compassion, excellence and respect. Last decade, the world has witnessed an increase in the number of diseases and outbreaks among the population and that has raised the requirement of specialized clinics, hospitals, diagnostic centres to reach out to the population and provide quality healthcare. Manipur being predominantly inhabited by person belonging to below poverty line where most cannot afford to send their wards outside the state for pursuing the courses. So, today’s healthcare system demands highly qualified, professionally trained and skilled Allied Health professionals to ensure sound results in the treatment of patients. In addition, there must be enough number of staff available in the health care settings in order to meet the minimum standards of care. In this regard, PC Allied Health Institute added a new stepping stone by establishing to introduce specialized Diploma and Degree Course Programs. I really appreciate the determined efforts of all members associated with the PC Allied Health Institute in any capability. I assure my continuous help and support to the institute.

The attention to their growth, welfare and care is appreciated. Today, India is finding it very hard to meet the health care responsibilities of their population. It has become alarming regarding the complex and costly issue of imparting health education. Manipur due to its lack of resources has to realize that the people of Manipur are vulnerable to a host of communicable and chronic ailments and that our resources are woefully insufficient. Though sincere efforts are at hand, the dire situations requires the creative and compassionate participation of the private sector both on the hospital and the teaching side. The P.C. Allied Health Institute works to standards of perfection. The aim is not just to impact education in the field of allied health sciences but more importantly to instill in the students a sense of responsibility, industry and discipline-the key ingredients that will equip the future with the best allied health professionals. This is an angelic and heroic profession as we have seen in the recent past of the global outbreak of Coronavirus and in recent years the patterns of Allied Health Sciences has changed significantly with the influx of new medications, increasing intensity of care, new technologies and emerging diseases. The communities served by the PC Allied Health Institute, Imphal continue to grow and an increasing number of people are looking at us to provide the Allied Health services they need.
Public sector has been chocked to its capacity, hence in this hour of need private sector is the true hope of the masses. Invoke of this public demand, the private sector has responded affirmatively and is delivering the best. Our vision for Allied Health Institute is to provide safe, high quality, and to create a supportive and empowering work force for Allied Health Professionals.
