Programme Overview
B.Sc Cardiac Dietician and Nutritionist provides rigorous training in nutrition science and an introduction to professional practice. Core areas of study include biochemistry, physiology and areas of practice including clinical dietetics, community and public health nutrition and food service systems management. Nutrition-related chronic diseases are the most common cause of death in the world and present a great burden for society, particularly diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, dental disease, and osteoporosis. Making improvements in terms of diet and physical activity can help reduce the risk of these chronic diseases. Hence it is essential that Nutrition and Dietetics is offered at various levels of education in general and masters in particular. Here the student learns both the rudimentary and application aspects, which includes the investigation and analysis of the requirement along with the skills in dietetics

Career Path
Diverse job opportunities exist in front of nutritionists and dieticians in India. Both Government and private sector job opportunities are available in front of them. Nutritionists or dieticians may build a career in the following sectors-
- R&D (Research and Development)
- Healthcare sector (hospitals, clinics, health centres etc)
- Government schemes and organizations
- NGOs
- Teaching and Education sector.

Eligibility Criteria
For National Students
- 10 + 2 or its equivalent.
For International Students
Rule framed by University Grants Commission (UGC) and notified in its website www.ugc.ac.in will be followed for deciding the eligibility and admission of International students to various courses offered in PC Allied Health Institute.
